3LCD Technology 3LCD Technology The 3LCD technology uses three high-temperature polysilicon liquid crystal displays HTPS LCDs. This is how the technology works First the White light is divided into Red Green and Blue using two dichroic mirrors that transmit light with a certain wavelength. Then each color is then passed through a dedicated LCD before being combined with the other colors in a prism. Finally the vibrant full-color image passes through a lens and is projected onto a screen.
